shipping instructions
- Do not send any equipment to Flutistry via United States Postal Service (USPS).
- To ensure prompt and secure delivery, Flutistry encourages using UPS Overnight or 2-Day Express delivery for all shipments. Clients returning trial instruments must use one of the aforementioned options. Please do not send any equipment to Flutistry via United States Postal Service (USPS) or FedEx.
- Ensure that the instrument is stable inside its case. We recommend placing a cloth or tissue paper inside the case so that when the case is closed and you give it a shake, you hear absolutely no movement.
- Choose a sturdy box that will fit the instrument and adequate padding around the instrument once in the box. Please use bubble-wrap or foam for the padding material. DO NOT ship a flute, flute related equipment, or other instruments in a shipping tube or padded envelope of any kind.
- Insurance: Trial instruments are covered by Flutistry's insurance policy. For instruments that you own, please be certain that your insurance will cover your instrument while it is in transit to Flutistry. Your instrument will not be covered under Flutistry's insurance policy until the instrument is in our possession. It is, however, covered by Flutistry's policy until the instrument is back in your hands. (If you have a homeowner's policy you may only need to insure the instrument for the deductible. Clarion Insurance will generally cover insured instruments while in transit. You may wish to contact your insurance provider to be sure.)
