step-up/intermediate
Step-up, or intermediate, level flutes are traditionally open-hole with a B-footjoint. These instruments will usually feature a silver headjoint with the option of upgrading to a silver body all with silver-plated mechansims. Available options may include pointed arms, gold riser and C# trill, among others. These instruments are typically intended for students who have outgrown their beginner instruments, adult amateurs, doublers or professionals seeking a solid back-up instrument.
