At a young age Miguel S. Arista's father introduced him to the world of manual arts. His Father was his motivator and supporter of musical instrument making. After coming to the states in 1971, Miguel Arista began making flutes with his father and brothers establishing the company Arista Flutes. By 1979 he met British flutist William Bennett with whom he began to enhance his knowledge of flute making, acoustics, and headjoint designs.

In 2006 Miguel started his own company, Miguel S. Arista Flutes, just outside of Boston, MA. For the past 40+ years he has nearly perfected his unique craftsmanship of headjoint making. The detail and hard work Miguel Arista has put into his products is unlike any other and is appreciated and played by countless talented musicians around the world.
