Best known today for his Daily Exercises, Reichert (1830-1880) was a Belgian flute prodigy and early exponent of the Boehm System whose performances led him to tour worldwide. A trip to Brazil in 1859 resulted in his settling there, and Reichert is considered among the originators of the Brazilian genre that became choros. Jasmine Choi’s sparkling performances of The Encore Solo have now been captured in this new inspired edition sharing her magical artistry.
