ABOUT THIS EVENT

Please join us for the incomparable artistry of Dr. Jennifer Grim, Associate Professor of Flute at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami! At this exciting event, Dr. Grim will be offering a short solo performance and masterclass followed by an open discussion about the process of producing her debut album Through Broken Time! CDs will be available for purchase & signing during the closing reception.

 

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Flutist Jennifer Grim enjoys a multifaceted career as a performer, educator, and arts leader. She has performed with such renowned ensembles as the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, St. Luke's Chamber Ensemble, Boston Chamber Music Society, and was the flutist of the award-winning Zéphyros Winds and the New York Chamber Soloists. Currently Ms. Grim is Associate Professor at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami and previously served on the faculty of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Recently appointed Artistic Administrator of the Frost School at Festival Napa Valley, Jennifer is President of the Board of Directors of Chamber Music America and Vice President of the National Flute Association.

 

Jennifer’s debut album, “Through Broken Time,” on New Focus Recordings, featuring the works of Tania Léon, Alvin Singleton, David Sanford, Allison Loggins-Hull, Valerie Coleman, and Julia Wolfe, was released on all streaming platforms on September 23.
